Nokia"s App Wizard
Nokia's been playing catch up lately (the release of Symbian Belle, releasing the N9, etc) in the mobile technology game but you have to admit that the changes are welcome for Nokia loyalists. One of their newer services which I am surprised that hasn't gotten a mention in their Nokia Conversations blog is their App Wizard. Whilst it is pretty basic, it works for us non-developers. Much like your PC wizards, the wizard is simple enough to follow and lets you have your own personal app-how bout an app which displays feed updates from all your frequented blogs? Check out the site and see what you can and can't do (I only got as far as adding the web feeds and uploading an icon for my app).

Tech tracks: Useful sites/Downloads/Apps

There are a whole lot of sites and downloadable applications that come in handy.  I thought I would make a list to share-you know dissemination of information and all that :-)

1. AVS Video Converter
A colleague of mine was kind enough to share some movies with me and I have my dvd player plays from usb flash drives but however I needed to convert the movies into .avi in order to convert them. I've had trouble using VLC to convert these files and AVS Video Converter made things so much easier. YOU can also convert files so that they are compatible for playback/accessible on you phone, etc.You will have to pay a registration fee though (the last time I checked you had to).

2. Twitterfeed.com
I signed up for a twitter account for his blog and I didnt want to maually keep updating the post updates into twitter. This site will directly feed any updates you have into you twitter account to notify your followers of new posts.

New new ish: Apple to launch white iphone 4 in Australia + new bigboi ft janelle monae

Apple to launch WHITE iphone 4 next week in OZ-By David Richards via Smarthouse

Apple is tipped to launch a white iPhone in Australia next week. The device which will also go on sale in the USA is tipped to be launched on April 27th.
The decision to launch a white iPhone which is set to be popular with women follows a decision by Apple last year to delay the device due to problems delivering a white iPhone that did not fade to a pale yellow when exposed to sunlight.

An inventory discovery Saturday has helped confirm Apple's plans to launch the white iPhone 4 next week.

Skype 5 Beta features new facebook integration

"The Skype 5 beta has been available for quite some time now, but only today it reaches its golden status. And the best part is it’s already available for download.

Skype 5 brings small visual and design changes, but nothing spectacular. The new features you’ll discover is automatic recovery of dropped calls and Facebook News Feed integration.
Unfortunately, besides viewing the latest updates, you can only “Like”, comment and change your status." SOURCE

* I haven't tried this out yet, but I've just installed it and hopefully I like it.
