10 Things Women Obsess Over That Most Men Don’t Care That Much About | Clutch Magazine: The Digital Magazine for the Young, Contemporary Woman of Color

I just had to repost/share this. Read on ladies ;-)

10 Things Women Obsess Over That Most Men Don’t Care That Much About | Clutch Magazine: The Digital Magazine for the Young, Contemporary Woman of Color

“I have extremely large nipples, and feel like they make my DD breasts look weird. I am only 20, and very self conscious about my chest appearing saggy. Do guys care about nipple size?”

At VerySmartBrothas.com, (my blogging partner) Panama and I regularly receive emails like this; questions that help to drive home the idea that many women make their dating and relationship lives much harder than they have to be by driving themselves crazy over things that won’t affect a man’s opinion of and level of attraction for her.

To save our sisters from more unnecessary heartache, here’s 10 Things Women Tend to Obsess Over That Most Men Don’t Care That Much About

1. Saggy Boobs
While it’s safe to say that men probably aren’t going to go gaga if your boobs look like you’ve duct taped two deflated water balloons to your chest, we realize that boobs (especially big boobs) tend to sag and we’re perfectly ok with that. In fact, it’s actually kind of hot to take off a woman’s bra and watch her boobs fall and sprint out of that bitch like Usain Bolt.

2. Stretch Marks
As long as they’re not on your forehead, we’re good.

3. How soon you’ve “given it up”
While it’s true that a guy’s opinion of you might change if you don’t wait until a “suitable” (And, remember, “suitable” is completely arbitrary) time has passed before deciding to sleep with him, this only makes a difference if he wasn’t really that into in the first place and is basically just looking for a reason to eliminate you.

If he really likes you, it won’t matter if you slept with him after four great dates or four great days, he’s still going to think just as highly of you afterward.

4. How much you eat
It amazes me to hear about a grown woman ordering a Caesar salad and ice water on her date, only to have to cut it short because her stomach is growling like Busta Rhymes in the Scenario video. Granted, when the menu comes, its probably not a good look to tell the waiter “Yeah, just gimme page 2“, but if we wanted to date someone who looked and ate like a six year old boy we would have been Catholic priests.

5. Gifts
Although we love gifts as much as anyone else, our love for them is more “Cool. New stuff.” than “Wow! She really must have taken a lot of time to think about this.“ The thought doesn’t count any more than a gift card does.

6. Whether your expert-level bedroom prowess will scare us away

***Channeling Katt Williams***

Never in the history of mankind has a man slept with a woman and thought to himself “Damn! She’s. amazing! I had no idea a wet elbow could do so many things. She’s so freaky in fact that she must have actually had sex with someone else before she met me. Since that’s probably true, I can’t continue to date her.”

7. Your hair anywhere other than the top of your head
Again, while having legs that feel like brown sugar cactuses when they’re laying next to you isn’t exactly sexy, obsessing to the point of neurosis over your eyebrows, eyelashes, armpits, and pubic area just makes us think you’re even crazier than we already think you are.

8. What it smells like down there
Obviously, cleanliness is next to godliness, but as long as it doesn’t seem like you’ve been spraying “Sex Panther” by Odeon between your legs, you have nothing to be too self-conscious about.

9. Whether we’ll be upset that your jeans are Target Brand instead of True Religion
There’s actually a word for guys who really care about stuff like that, and it starts with ‘h” and rhymes with “logoplaxical”.

10. Your age
I’m not going to say that age doesn’t matter, but most guys are more concerned with how old a woman looks and acts than how old she actually is. We’d much rather be with an active and youthful 35 year old than a 25 year old who looks like she lived through and slept with The Great Depression.

Kelis responds to PETA

This past week, singer Kelis was photographed wearing fur. A couple days later she received a personalised letter from PETA. While checking out a site that I visit regularly, they posted her response to the letter she recieved. I must say I agree with the sentiments she expressed. Read on and state your views...

Good morning all!

Ok, so you’re gonna love this. The other day I got a personalized letter from PETA! Lol so after some thought I’ve decided to write one back. Goes a little something like this:

There is no humane way to kill anything, let me start there. It’s unfortunate but it’s part of life. With that being said, I would eat pterodactyl if you found some and you told me it was meaty and delicious. And after doing a very minimal amount of research……. I found out that the founder Ingrid Newkirk is completely batty. I had a feeling but she far exceeded my expectations. I mean certifiably insane! Lol this chicks will is nuts, google it – it’s a riot! Beyond the fact that I think she’s a diabetic, which means she needs insulin, which is taken from lab pigs (I know this because my sister happens to be in veterinary school), which would be completely hypocritical. It’s like don’t abuse animals unless it can help me.

I feel very strongly about a lot of things such as the sweatshops that spin cotton and the blood on their hands. Btw it’s not just the look of fur. It’s warm as hell and feels glorious, ever rubbed faux fur on your body? Nothing luxurious about that. Then the letter proceeded to name artist and designers who don’t wear real fur. Great! More for me! I don’t judge them, don’t judge me.

If I started wearing endangered animals like polar bear or orangutan then talk to me. (Which btw for the record I would not – I do believe in the preservation of endangered species) But the minks and chinchilla that quite honestly are rodents and if weren’t in the form of a coat I would demand they be put to death anyway are not an issue to me.

The death of high fashion. Ugh.

I eat meat, and in fact my mouth salivates as I type the word meat! And the paint throwing that’s just ridiculous! What if I was hurling Loubitons and Pierre Hardy’s at every sad poorly dressed person on the street? As right as I may be it’s just fanatical and crazy. And people have the right to feel as they please. What about art? Survival of the fittest. Natural selection? No let’s just let all the rodents run free and over take our cities. Oh wait they have, NY and LA in particular are infested! Why don’t u save them all from scavenging on the streets and ruining my evening strolls, take them home. Make them pets! Get off my back! Pun intended!

Underpaid minorities picking your vegetables, now that’s fine for you right? Please, fight for their rights. How about the poverty in the communities of brown people around the world. She had the nerve to say (and I quote) “get over it” talking of the issue of black people and slavery in this country verses cows being slaughtered. Is she kidding me? Lol yes she must be. Actually, she’s lucky most black people have real issues to worry about in the U.S and don’t give a crap what her delusional privileged opinions are. But she should try saying that again just for kicks n giggles on the corner of Adam Clayton Powell Blvd in Harlem n see how well people “get over it” lol.

If u want to preach do it about something worthwhile don’t waste my time trying to save the dang chipmunk.

Find a worthwhile cause like the women being maimed in these Middle Eastern countries. Or female circumcision. Or women’s rights here in America, we still get paid less for doing the same jobs as men. Quite honestly if you hate the world so much go live in the forest where no one else has to hear you complain about the perfectly good food chain the good Lord created. Everyone has the right to an opinion, and that’s mine on that! xoxo
