SR. ANGELA TAYLOR WILL BE RECEIVING A LOGOHU AWARD AT PARLIAMENT HOUSE ON THURSDAY APRIL 2009 ALONG WITH 2 OTHER OLSH SISTERS; SR. JOSSETTE FROM ST.JOSEPHS COLLEGE & ANOTHER FROM PAPITALAI. THERE WILL BE A MASS HELD ON SATURDAY 25TH APRIL 2009 TO CONGRATULATE THEM.
The Logohu award is one of Papua New Guinea's civil honor awards and
is awarded for distinguished service to Papua New Guinea, or to a local community, sustained over a period of at least ten years
Sister Angela Taylor has been working in PNG for over 30 years. She was a teacher when my mother was a student at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School on Yule Island and was the principal of Marianville High School (now Marianville Secondary School) by the time I started high school in 1998 and still was when I finished Yr 12 in 2003.
Sr Angela was the driving force behind securing sponsorship from Aus AID which allowed for Marianville to develop into a Secondary School in 2002.

The Sister from Papitalai is Sister Rita Torpey who has been working in PNG for 50 years! Congratulations to you all!
