I think the video is conveys such a deep messsage. Noting that it sets the atmosphere central to apartheid in South Africa; includes Alek Wek who was a refugee that fled Sudan and is now a member of the U.S. Committee for Refugees Council, includes powerful images such as the South African man with the bruised face, and in the last shot of the video "Europeans only, slegs blankes" and a bottle smashing up against the sign...
The video even won a Grammy in 1998 for Best Short Form Music Video....splendid!!
The video shows the dominantly black crowd enjoying life, despite the context within which the video was shot...
yep, that phrase was coined by Q-tip and used by TI in 'why u wanna'. Coincidentally TI originally went by the name TIP (Tip was a childhood nickname and u'll hear him use TIP in some of his songs) but dropped the P out of respect for Q-tip after he was signed to the same record label.
